HOW TO GET MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BLOG WITH INSTAGRAM HASHTAGS

Generating traffic is the most important part of having a blog, website, or online business. The more traffic that is directed to your website, the more potential there is to make a real income.

I have tried just about everything to direct traffic to this blog and to any other business venture I have created online. And because I have tried everything, I have figured out what works.

The truth is I am good at creating content that provides helpful information to my visitors, but I struggle with some aspects of this blogging business.

A big blogging myth is that you have to be on every social media platform, but the truth is you don’t. Since starting my blog, I have researched where my audience mainly comes from and have really started focusing on marketing my blog posts specifically through Instagram and Pinterest.

Also, I have talked about this before. I truly believe that Tailwind is a blogging tool that is well worth the tiny investment. It has helped me generate a ton of traffic and I know that it can work for you too. Tailwind is a scheduling tool for both Instagram and Pinterest, and for me just makes it easy to stay active on those platforms.

The Benefits of a Tailwind membership are:

  • The ability to schedule posts to both Pinterest and Instagram
  • Tailwind will suggest time slots for posting when your audience engagement is high
  • Join tribes related to your niche to connect with other creators

In a previous blog post, I mention the top 3 mistakes I made with Tailwind when I first began using the tool. I wanted to really share these because it is the little things that can get overlooked.

But what I am really excited about is announcing to all of you the Hashtag Finder tool Tailwind has added for Instagram posts. If you are like me, and haven’t quite gotten the hang of which hashtags are the best to use when writing captions for your photos, then you will absolutely love this new addition.

Tailwind makes it really simple by suggesting the best hashtags to use based on the caption. This tool will literally suggest the most appropriate hashtags to use while you are typing out your caption.

Also, you can hover over the hashtags suggested and find out which ones are the most popular. Then, pick the hashtags that you feel are the best fit with your Instagram post. I suggest doing a good mix of really popular hashtags and some that aren’t so popular because you never know which hashtags will generate the most traffic to your account.
